Antojitos Emanuel
About This Spot
Walking into Antojitos Emanuel in Ridgeland feels like stepping into a warmly familiar corner of Central America tucked quietly into the everyday flow of Old Canton Road. The space is unpretentious, with a simple dining room that invites you to slow down and savor moments of genuine connection and comfort. The hum of happy chatter mixes with the soft strains of Christian music, creating a relaxed, heartfelt atmosphere where everyone seems to know each other—or soon will.
This is no rushed meal; it’s an experience made to linger over. Behind its modest exterior, Antojitos Emanuel offers a rich tapestry of flavors that echo home-cooked traditions and the kind of care that turns a plate into a memory. The air carries hints of freshly prepared pupusas and the subtle warmth of tamales wrapped in banana leaves, accompanied by the tangy crunch of curtido and the unexpected sweetness of freshly squeezed fruit juices like rambutan and banana.
Beyond the dining tables, a small grocery and meat market quietly coexist, bridging the gap between a casual restaurant and a local gathering spot—a place where familiar ingredients meet welcoming smiles. The team here, guided by genuine kindness and knowledge, helps you navigate the menu with ease, making every visit feel like a shared discovery rather than a simple meal.
Whether it's the delightful surprise of Honduran fried chicken or the comforting presence of a hearty enchilada, each bite is marked by authenticity and thoughtful preparation. Antojitos Emanuel isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a slice of community and culture, a place that invites you to slow down, share stories, and leave with a little more warmth than you came in with.

Amazing food that's fresh and delicious. Super nice with the best fresh fruit juice options.

Just simply incredible, authentic, and wonderful food. We were visiting family from out of town and were searching for a Mexican restaurant for dinner and came across reviews for this restaurant. Every five star review was exactly right. Plenty of food nd absolutely the most authentic and best I have ever had. It is a plain dining room with a small grocery shelf and produce cooler all combined with a mom and pop style Latin food restaurant. Specialty plates from Guatemala, Honduran and other origin. My wife had the Honduran grill plate out fried chicken and I had it with steak and both were fantastic. This is an absolute must for a low key fantastic meal with great food and no frills.

My wife and I had a great experience here. The food and the service were excellent! The gentlemen who served us, Ignacio, was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. His suggestions turned out great. We really enjoyed the family atmosphere and definitely plan to come back soon!

OMG!! THIS PLACE IS freaking awesome so good I order two entrée and I ate both of them whole lol. Love the Christian music playing and happy atmosphere. The waiters are very helpful at explaining the menu. The fried chicken Honduras style wow . So if you are wondering if this place is good I lie not. It's great the different juices and specialty drinks where amazing I mean it. I write a lot of reviews on restaurants all over the world and jackson and everywhere I know good food. This is better than good that's why they have a 4.9. The person that gave them less than a 5 are not important lol. Please enjoy

I highly recommend! The food was delicious and we plan to come back with more people! We dropped by while visiting my daughter at Mississippi State. The owner, Giovanni and his staff are so friendly. They also have a mini supermarket and meat market. There's a great variety of food and if you're looking for pupusas, they are here! Everyone in our party loved the food!

Small place that serves some of the best pupusas and yuca con chicharron we have had in a very long time! We also had Tamarindo to drink, little on the sweet side but still refreshing! The slaw you are given with the pupusas is sooo good. Good crunch and flavor and the sauce with it also had a lot of flavor. Just look at my pics!! I mean come on!! Lol Everyone that waited on us was so nice and made our experience fun! We are so happy we found this place! Oh and the Christian music was perfect!

The owners were very welcoming upon arrival. Explained the menu to us on what they offered and gave suggestions. Very relaxed atmosphere. Purchased some baked goods to go home for the family. My daughter and I enjoyed everything. Very flavorful and food came out piping hot!
